Professorship in Functional Plant Biology
Depending on qualifications, the position may be filled at the level of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (tenured).
The Institute of Plant Sciences of the University of Bern in Switzerland (www.ips.unibe.ch) invites applications for a professorship in Functional Plant Biology. Experimental approaches using combinations of molecular, biochemical, physiological, ecophysiological, systems biological and quantitative methods are particularly welcome.
The ideal candidate has an excellent research record, a clear research and teaching vision, proven teaching and communication skills, and is expected to build a strong, independent research group and to participate in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The University of Bern offers an attractive scientific environment. Interaction within the Department of Biology (www.biology.unibe.ch) and with other departments and centres of the University of Bern is expected.
