Description

The doctoral program in Molecular Plant Sciences (MPS) is primarily dedicated to PhD students working in the 30 plant science research laboratories at the Universities of Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne and Neuchâtel, but is also open to students at these Universities, who are registered in other disciplines. MPS aims at helping PhD students to broaden their scientific knowledge, to acquire novel techniques through courses, workshops and seminars dedicated to plant sciences, as well as to establish a social and scientific network of expertise. In addition, this doctoral program will allow registered students to improve their generic skills (“soft skills”) for example in scientific English, planning or project management. Together, these various facets of the MPS program will help students to successfully complete a PhD and to secure a future professional career.
